Meet Doug

Successful solution based coaching for executives, Doug Sokolosky has held all senior level positions in the traditional corporate structure. He has served on the advisory boards of then Compaq Computer Corporation and AT&T. Doug’s pragmatic approach and straight forward style is based on 30 years of experience having worn the hats and done the jobs! He knows how to drill down to the core issues and resolve problems that can be executed. Reputed as a trusted advisor, he has helped leaders resolve organizational and conflict situations, as well as coaching key executives on modifying personal management styles, which were impeding their effectiveness as leaders.

Sokolosky brings his executive level experience and big picture focus to individuals and corporations since beginning his career at IBM. Here he held all the sales leadership positions through Regional Manager responsible for sales and marketing for a major part of the U.S. He joined Philips NV as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he was responsible for bringing their computer division to the U.S. This transitioned to Executive Vice President of Bell Atlantic where he was instrumental in transitioning their purchased IBM Business Centers to profitability that consummated the sale to CompuCom. Doug joined CompuAdd as Managing Director opening over 100 retail stores in the U.S. His last corporate leadership assignment was to successfully move Hyundai’s Computer Division from Seoul, South Korea to Santa Clara, CA.

As a top executive at the top ranks of corporate America, Doug’s expertise and understanding effects of acquisitions of technology and people has developed his competency in knowing how to manage sideways to influence a broad scope of reach. This first-hand experience in successfully coaching others with actionable advice has enabled them to grow, achieve and break through barriers to greater success.
